MMO Pre-School

A pre-school program for children 1 year through Pre-K

  • Monday-Friday 9:30am-1:30pm
  • Early Care 7:00am-9:30am
  • Extended Care 1:30pm-5:00pm

Admissions

Children who are 1 year of age by September 1 through 6 years of age are eligible to enroll. Children must meet age requirements. Classes are filled on a first come first serve basis. If classes are full, a waiting list is created and families are notified as soon as an opening becomes available, The parent/ guardian must fill out a registration form and pay a non-refundable registration fee of $75. In addition to the registration fee, a materials fee is due at registration, The fees are non-refundable. The child's space is not secured unless the fees are paid.

Days and Hours of Operation

MMO follows the Seminole County Public School calendar, with some exceptions, A calendar will be provided to each family. We are open Monday through friday. Our regular classroom hours are 9:30 - 1:30. We offer Early Care (7:00 - 9:30) and/or Extended Care (1:30 - 5:OO) for an additional cost.

Mid -Year Enrollment

Tuition will be prorated based on the number of months remaining in the school year. Materials fee will be prorated by a $1O per month reduction. The registration fee will not be prorated or reduced.

Staff

All staff have undergone background screening and finger print checks. All staff members must also complete a mandatoy child care training course. In addition, they must complete 1O hrs of in-service yearly. Many of our staff are either Certified Teachers or have CDA's, Our teachers are CPR and first Aid Certified. The student to teacher ratio is approximately as follows:

  • Toddlers 6:1
  • Two's 8:1
  • Three's 1O:1

Withdrawal

A 30-day Notice of Withdrawal is required in writing and must be submitted to the MMO Director. If a 30-day notice is not provided in advance, MMO will charge you for 1 month's tuition.

Our Day at School

Children will have the opporunity to participate in the following activities each day; Circle Time, Learning Centers, Music and Movement, Arts and Crafts, Playground Time, Story Time, and Small Group Time. Children will also build their social skills during Snack and lunch Time each day. Holiday parties will be held in your child's classroom, We will have "In House" field trips and special programs throughout the year, MMO will offer family events and special "music performances" during the school year.

Tuition

Monthly tuition is calculated on the annual cost of the school year and then divided into 1O equal payments. This includes months with holidays, school closings and 5 week months. Tuition is due on the 1st business day of each month. A late fee of $1O will be charged if not received by the 5th of the month and $2 per day thereafter. for your convenience, a basket is located by the MMO Office tor tuition payments, MMO's Program and Licensing Regulations require us to engage staff based on the number of children who are scheduled to attend on any given day. No tuition reimbursement or credit will be given for absenses. We do not offer make up days for missed days.

Health and Safety

MMO provides a safe and healthy Learning environment for your child, We have an excellent student to teacher ratio. We offer fenced playgrounds, dividing younger and older students. We offer age appropriate toys and equipment. MMO strictly enforces our student drop off and pick up policy, Our school also has an Attendance and Illness Policy that all students must follow. We practice Universal Precautions, All students are required to wash hands upon arrival at school each day. All visitors are required to sign in at our MMO Office and are accompanied by a staff member at all times while on our campus. MMO is inspected annually by the State Fire Marshall, to ensure that our fire extinguishers, sprinklers and emergency exit signs are working properly. MMO will have monthly fire and Tornado Drills. A Weather Channel radio is constantly on to monitor Emergency Weather situations. In case ot severe weather all children will be taken to the designated safe areas of the building until the situation is over. A complete student and parent/guardian contact list is maintained.

Discipline

Children sometimes need a positive reminder regarding proper behavior while at play. Our teachers have been chosen for their loving approach with children and sincere desire to help them grow, However, at times children need to be redirected so that they are not harmful to themselves or others. Sometimes they just need to have some quiet time away from the activity to settle down. This should not be confused as a "Time Out", which may be used when warranted and as a final option. Corporal punishment will not be allowed.

Confidentiality

Children's records are open only to the child's teacher, the MMO Director, an authorized employee of the licensing agency and the child's parents or legal guardian.
